Back-end Engineer

Do you want to design, build and maintain code and infrastructure that aims to put an end to bad customer service? Our platform processes tens of thousands of customer interactions monthly - will you help us scale to millions?

TL;DR

As a Senior Back-End Developer, you will be joining our experienced development team, and be responsible for the infrastructure and code powering a platform that processes many many customer interactions. You'll build features in a language of your choosing (more below) and deploy to our infrastructure on AWS.

About this job

You'll join a development team (7), which includes various disciplines, from data science, software engineers to product design.

We are currently working with PHP, Node.js, Perl, SQL, Bash and Python. All deployed on AWS. Your ability to learn quickly is more important to us than extensive experience with each of these languages.

• Design and build new features, services and APIs.
• Optimize for maximum speed, scalability and reliability.
• Work with large sets of data and contribute to our machine-learning recommendation algorithms.
• You have oversight of the architecture and the choices we make in it.

You?

• Have 3+ years of professional programming experience.
• Have a “more effort now to save effort later” mentality.
• Have a deep understanding of modern-day web technologies.
• Fluent in Dutch or English.
